Basket Design

Power System Services can provide a range of basket designs for vertical shaft or horizontal shaft airheaters, either using our design, or in accordance with your own specific requirements.

The Standard Design is:

• Full depth wrapper on 3 sides
• Wrapper plates from 2mm to 6mm thick
• Top and bottom lifting bars
• Lifting from bars or lifting pins
• End frame ensures good element packing
• Materials: Carbon Steel. Corten or Equivalent

Basket Dimensions

Correct basket sizes are required to permit easy insertion and removal. It is also important to minimise leakage between basket and division plates/radial walls.

Standard Features:

• Site survey to measure rotor sector openings. Establish correct dimensions
• Standard manufacturing tolerances: +0 -3mm overall plan. +3 -3mm on depth
• Plan dimensions selected on nominal 3 to 5mm of tightest fit
